2026 Visual Art and Design Courses | School of Art & Design

School of Art & Design studio courses have a limited enrolment capacity. Students are advised to enrol as early as possible to maximise the opportunity of securing a place.

For first year students taking School of Art and Design degree programs, if you find you are unable to enrol in your chosen 1000 level Visual Art or Design course, please email admin.somad@anu.edu.au for assistance.

Many later year courses (2000/3000 level) have pre-requisites. If you meet the pre-requisites for a course, you will be able to self-enrol via your ANUHub account. If for any reason you cannot self-enrol, you will need to request a permission code by completing an ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) Permission Code Request form.

Please note: Many 1000- and 2000- level Bachelor of Visual Arts courses can be taken multiple times because they offer different topics. Students cannot complete the same topic twice but may enrol in the same course code more than once, provided the topics are different.

The CASS Student Office handles all matters related to the student lifecycle for all students who are currently undertaking a CASS program. For advice about how to complete your studies on time and according to the rules, please contact the CASS Student Office.
